 Starting April 1, 2019, upon receiving your ICBC claim number you are eligible for 12 sessions of RMT treatments automatically starting on the date of your accident for 12 weeks. 

Example: Accident happened on Jan 1, 2022, the end date for your 12 sessions of RMT sessions will be on March 26, 2022

Initial visit (First visit): ​$120.00 (only billable once per claim number)

All ​Subsequent treatment: ​$90.00 per treatment

User fee- ICBC customers who choose to visit a health care provider that charges a higher rate than what ICBC funds under accident benefits (indicated above), will not be able to recover the user fees from ICBC for claims with a date of loss on or after April 1, 2019. This will mean that the patient is responsible for paying the user fee portion, which they may submit to their private health insurer for consideration of coverage. If the accident benefits (indicated above) exceeds the rate of service there will be no user fee.

Examples:

$130 (60 Minutes RMT rate) - $120 (Initial Visit) = $10 (User Fee)

$130 (60 Minutes RMT rate) - $90 (Standard Visit) = $40 (User Fee)

$105 (45 Minutes RMT rate) - $90 (Standard Visit) = $15 (User Fee)

• As of April 1, 2023, ICBC requires all clients to receive a minimum of 45 minutes RMT treatment session. Therefore, 30 minutes RMT treatment sessions are no longer available. 
• The initial visit is defined as the first visit to a RMT after your accident not the first visit of a different therapist.
• The billing listed above applies to accidents before April 1, 2019
• The billing listed above is without GST, therapists who collect and file GST themselves cover more (Initial visit $126 and subsequent treatment $94.50). Expect to pay the standard rate in most cases.
